About Olivia

My name is Olivia Stevenson, and I am the second oldest of four daughters. I am a sister, a daughter, a musician, a student, and a dancer. Each of these defining titles has shaped my life, my perspective, and my goals.

Recently, I embarked on a transformative journey to Taiwan, immersing myself in its rich culture and language for a year and a half. This experience opened my eyes to new perspectives, deepened my appreciation for diversity, and ignited a profound love for the Taiwanese language, culture, and people. Living abroad challenged me to step out of my comfort zone, adapt to unfamiliar surroundings, and embrace the beauty of cross-cultural exchange.

Now, back home, I am enthusiastic about continuing my study of Mandarin Chinese and sharing my passion for Taiwanese culture with others. My time in Taiwan has inspired me to become an ambassador for cultural understanding and appreciation. Through language learning, I hope to bridge cultural divides, foster connections, and empower others to explore and embrace the richness of our global community. About the lesson

My Chinese tutor session will likely involve a structured approach tailored to your learning goals, proficiency level, and preferred learning style. With a compilation of warm-up and review, tailored practice to current homework or learning goals, test preparation, interactive exercises, practice in real-life situations, feedback and goal setting, and additional help with specific needs. Lessons are available for all levels but may be especially helpful for those going through grade school, those preparing for AP tests, or those preparing to serve missions speaking Mandarin Chinese. Overall, my Chinese tutor session will be a dynamic and interactive experience focused on helping you improve your language skills and achieve your learning goals.
