About Olga

Friendly and empathetic individual with a University degree in French language interpreting, with some Latin, German and Spanish language studies in the past, former DELF/DALF test preparation classes student who successfully passed those back in 2007, and participant with Institut Français. Willing to share my deep love for French language and francophone culture in easy and fun manner. Attended university elective courses in foreign language teaching methodology, country and history studies, psychology and pedagogy. Never missed an opportunity to watch a movie, read a new book in French or attend some relevant event. Fan of French music (20th century and today's). Mom of an elementary schooler who learns English as a second language and is interested in French language as well. Experienced international traveler, alone and with family.

About the lesson

Depending on your or your kid's interest and needs and on the level of student's knowledge at this moment, we can study reading and writing, have conversations on different topics. Will assist in doing school home tasks or get prepared for an exam. Trained for performing managerial tasks in French language, for business communication and correspondence, thus can help adult students get prepared for special occasions like future business travel, help feel more prepared and fluent at a future job interview or new job with the knowledge of French language required, etc.

Life-long personal experience of learning foreign languages (English, German, Latin, Spanish and of course French) helps me understand the needs of students of all levels: elementary, middle and high school, college or university, beginners and intermediate, advanced or adults who need to refresh their knowledge for career, personal or traveling purposes.

Having personal experience of living in Paris, France for almost a year, I can also help get acquainted with French and francophone culture, suggest some knowledge about French educational system, and definitely will be happy to share my own deep interest in French cinema and music.

Have traveled to several francophone countries recently and thus am able to understand the needs and the difficulties you may face in everyday life and different business or casual situations in a new country whether it is a short vacation or a relocation.
