About Esther

Hello! I’m Esther and I am excited to be your tutor. Growing up, English has been both my language of education and daily communication. My journey as a tutor began during high school and continued through law school, where I had the privilege of teaching and discussing complex topics with my peers. Recently, I taught professional ethics in law, which further fueled my passion for education.

I have always enjoyed traveling, reading, and writing, with favorite books including The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan and Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. My dedication to teaching extends back nine years, from my time in secondary school where I taught English Literature, to my university years volunteering with the Law Clinic. In law school, I led a group of eight students, developing and implementing a comprehensive teaching plan using both course materials and external resources.

My teaching approach is lecture-based, with concise lessons followed by engaging question-and-answer sessions to ensure understanding and interactive learning. I specialize in English Literature, Intellectual Property Law, and Legal Compliance.

Teaching is not just a profession for me; it’s a passion. I believe in making learning a fun and enriching experience. With my enthusiasm for teaching and love for books, I’m here to make our exploration of these subjects both enjoyable and insightful. Let’s embark on this exciting educational journey together!

About the lesson

My typical lesson lasts 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute review period to consolidate understanding and address any queries.

With five years of experience as a tutor, I have effectively supported students at both the secondary and primary school levels. My expertise extends to preparing students for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in these critical assessments.

My lessons are tailored for students at the primary and secondary school levels. I offer targeted support to those preparing for key examinations such as WAEC and JAMB, ensuring that my teaching approach meets their specific academic needs and goals.
