I have a PhD in Modern Humanities from The Florida State University with a minor in Classical Greek Literature. I also have a Masters in Latin from the University of Florida. My classical background enables me to teach certain root words. I scored a 99% on the GRE Verbal.

I advocate constant self-quizzing homework using numerous methods: Quizlet, index cards, games (Gimkit especially) to improve Word Smart (SAT) vocabulary. In the session, I emphasize loving the texts, various tricks to trick oneself into loving the text, classical root words, and reading the text at least twice etc. High SAT reading scores are a function of vocabulary, mining as much data as possible from the text (like you would in a real mine), and that tricking yourself into loving the text.
