About Sonia

After a lifetime of art, a 3-year course at Sheridan College for Graphic Design (graduated in 1995), and 22 years as a professional Graphic Designer, I am now passionate about supporting others in their journey into Adobe products and other computer software.

Photoshop is intimidating! I get that. I can guide you through the initial stages so you can feel at easy to start playing. And if you're a more advanced user, I can help guide you through some more advanced features of this complex software. I can also guide you in using Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign interchangeably. Let's have some fun!

About the lesson

Want to learn Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign? Want to learn how to design a kick-butt logo or other graphic? Want to know what it's like to be a graphic designer? I can help!

I have used Photoshop and Illustrator for over 25 years, and Indesign for as long as it's been around. I was a professional graphic designer for 22 years after graduating from Sheridan College. Have a challenge? I can help.

I start out finding out more about you:
- What is your goal?
- What experience do you have so far?
- What's one thing you'd like to get from our lesson, today? What else?

From there you and I will go the speed you need to go at, and will accomplish whatever goals you want to achieve.

I am patient and am able to guide students through whatever challenge they're facing. I encourage students to try new things and offer advice based on my long experience as a designer, and can answer pretty much any questions you might have. And I offer humour throughout to ease the pain!
