About Carla

Hi, I’m Carla! I’m a freelance graphic designer and business owner with experience working on real client projects, including branding, packaging, signage, and vehicle wraps. I’ve always had a passion for design and enjoy helping others understand how to turn their ideas into clean, professional work.

Through running my own design business, I’ve developed a strong understanding of both the creative and practical sides of design, from concept to final, print-ready files. I bring that real-world experience into my teaching so students can learn skills that actually apply outside of just tutorials.

I’m patient, easy to work with, and genuinely enjoy helping others grow their confidence, as someone who has struggled with confidence. Whether you’re just starting or looking to improve your skills, I’m here to support you and help you progress at your own pace!

About the lesson

My lessons are focused on helping you understand graphic design in a practical, real-world way. As a working graphic designer running my own business, I teach not only how to use tools like Illustrator and Photoshop, but how to think like a designer — including layout, typography, branding, and creating designs that feel professional and intentional.

A typical lesson is hands-on and tailored to your goals. We can work on specific projects, improve your existing designs, or build new pieces for your portfolio. I also guide you through creating print-ready files, including things like packaging, signage, and even vehicle wraps, so you gain experience that goes beyond basic design skills.

These lessons are great for beginners, students, or anyone looking to improve their skills and build confidence. My approach is relaxed and supportive, and I’ll meet you at your level while helping you grow step by step.
