About Daina
I am a second-year Graphic Communication Design student at Central Saint Martins, with previous training from the UAL Foundation at CCW. My portfolio was accepted by several leading UK art and design courses, so I understand the demands of the application process. I want to support students who feel lost or unsure about how to start a portfolio, because I was once in that same position and remember how frustrating it can feel. Helping someone find clarity and build confidence in their creative path is one of the main reasons I chose to teach.

I structure my tutoring around helping students understand how to build a strong and coherent art and design portfolio for university applications. My approach combines guidance on idea development, visual experimentation, project organisation and clear documentation of process. Each lesson usually lasts 1 hour, with optional longer sessions for students preparing multiple projects. I am currently in my second year of Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins (UAL). I previously completed the UAL Foundation at CCW and had my own portfolio accepted to Kingston School of Art, UAL LCC Illustration, UAL LCC Graphic Design, Chelsea Graphic Design and Central Saint Martins. This gives me first-hand experience with what different programmes look for during the admissions process. These lessons are ideal for students applying to foundation or undergraduate art and design courses, beginners who need structured support, and anyone who wants to strengthen their creative portfolio before submitting applications.
