About Marie

With a Master's degree in Literature from the Sorbonne and a diploma in theater studies from the Conservatoire régional d'art dramatique de Paris, I have a multifaceted background in theater, communication, radio, photography and writing.

After 5 years in the field of Communication and Marketing, 2 years of experience in the United States, I am currently resuming studies for a Master's in FLE.

I taught photography to children aged 4 to 7 at the Boileau school in Paris as a replacement for a few months. For three years, I have been teaching an autobiographical writing course in an American organization for prisoners. I am also a volunteer playtime leader for children aged 3 to 7 in an association in Paris. My experience working with children and with a more sensitive audience has allowed me to develop my patience and active listening skills.

Always learning, I adapt to the pace of the student and the objectives that we determine together. I am passionate, patient and educational. My multiple experiences allow me to offer fun and rigorous courses.

I offer French lessons to prepare for the Baccalaureate oral exam, I give oral and written expression lessons, FLE lessons (daily conversations, vocabulary learning, grammar conjugation), creative writing lessons and help with writing cover letters and CVs.

About the lesson

What I propose:
Teaching FLE (interview preparation, writing cover letters, CVs, oral conversation, familiar language);
- Preparation for the French baccalaureate (methodology for the oral exam);
- Help with writing an essay;
- Creative writing, written expression, let your imagination run wild with impeccable spelling!

Method for Adults:
We define your expectations, objectives and target the problem areas.
Then, we work on the important points for your daily life: conjugation of the most used tenses, agreement of the past participle, common confusions, formal and familiar language. I offer fun exercises: quizzes, fill-in-the-blank texts, dictations.
For oral expression/communication, we take stock of the useful daily conversations that you would need and we practice together.

Method for Adolescents ORAL TEST of the BAC:
Based on the list of texts established by the French teacher and the complete work chosen by the student, I organize mock orals at regular intervals.
Together we will see the methodology of linear analysis and deepen our understanding of the texts in question.
The mock orals are an opportunity to:
- Learn how to use the 30 minutes of preparation effectively
- Manage your stress before and during the interview
- Prepare for the reading aloud exercise
- Learn grammatical concepts (also 2pts)
- Guide in speaking orally, an essential skill for the rest of the academic and personal journey. What are the specificities of an oral presentation of a work? How to use body language? How to work on diction and rhythm?

The fundamental points of my courses are grammar, conjugation and vocabulary. I also place great importance on teaching culture, on the notion of transversality of disciplines. Learning French as a foreign language or strengthening your French to prepare for the BAC is not simply a style exercise, you have to understand the culture to access the language and go further in its learning.

As a volunteer manager in an association that provides emergency accommodation for families in precarious situations, I am in charge of playtime for children aged 3 to 7. I have the vivacity of a young teacher who manages to motivate the most recalcitrant pupils.

Private lessons
- An opportunity to get to know myself, to adapt to the student, to respond to the difficulties he/she is going through. To support the student in a search for their way of working, what works for them, their automatisms.

- Get organized, plan over time. From the first sessions, I build a personalized work plan in collaboration with my students, on a weekly and semester scale.

- My priority is to stimulate the student in their learning, to cultivate a taste for learning. It is essential to me that my students enjoy these moments, are enthusiastic, active and invested.
