About Charlotte
Hi! I'm Charlotte, a recent Creative Writing, Film and Theatre graduate with a 2:1 degree from the University of Reading. I'm passionate about English, literature and creative writing, and I love helping others develop their confidence and find their own voice in writing.
When I was starting university and college I struggled to find my voice and wished I had somebody like me to put me on the right path and give feedback that felt relevant to me and not just from a 40 year old lecturer.

My personal approach to private tutoring includes going through all creative work including

I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to make my sessions relaxed, encouraging and tailored to your individual needs. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, want to improve your grades, need help understanding how to structure an essay, or simply want to become more confident in your writing, I'm here to help.
As a Creative Writing, Film and Theatre graduate, I have experience studying and writing across a wide range of genres and forms. My university studies have given me a strong understanding of literary analysis, creative writing techniques, essay writing and critical thinking.
I can also offer support with creative writing projects, including developing ideas, creating characters, exploring themes and providing constructive feedback on your work.
I can help students to understand how to write for both themselves and a marking rubric thanks to my extensive knowledge of the university marking circuit.
I am happy to tutor online or, depending on location, in person. Sessions can be adapted to suit your goals, whether you need one-off help with a particular assignment or regular weekly support.
If you're looking for a friendly and supportive tutor who can help you build both your skills and confidence, I'd love to hear from you!
My age range can be from ages 14 - 20 as I am confident in my ability to help those heading into university as well as those heading into GCSE/ A level. I also have my full DBS and experience working with those who have learning disabilities.
