About SARA

Graduated in Physics with full marks, specializing in Physics of Matter, with a research focus in nanotechnology, biophysics and physics of materials. Thesis on "Development of perovskite nanocrystals for biological imaging".
I have carried out various internships and training activities abroad studying topics in the field of optics and condensed matter.
I have obtained specific certifications for teaching, following specific courses in psychology, pedagogy and teaching techniques.
I have experience teaching students with specific learning disabilities, specific educational needs and bilingual students.
University tutor in various Degree Courses: including Physics II, Physics Laboratory I, II and III as well as for didactic-integrative, preparatory and recovery activities. (AS 2019/22).
Professor of mathematics and physics at the International School of Pavia (AS 2021/22).
Tutor expert in the Lab2Go INFN project for scientific high schools (AS 2021/2022).

About the lesson

Lessons in mathematics and physics from primary schools to the first years of university.

Graduated in Physics and with specialization in Physics of Matter (in the field of nanotechnologies and Soft Matter Physic).

I am passionate about scientific subjects and dissemination. In the last 5 years I have held private lessons with different teaching methods supported by software for a global understanding of the subject and various insights for a more specific knowledge of the subject.

My lessons are focused on the achievement of specific objectives, aimed at the result through the creation of a study method tailored to the student that allows him with practice to achieve independence and mastery of the discipline.

Together with the student we go to define conceptual maps or schemes that can help him for a personal study. During the lesson, if necessary, I use videos, animations and images to support learning to make the arguments more concrete, trying to stimulate the same passion that I have acquired over the years thanks to my curiosity.

Support for exams, homework, entrance tests, checks, debts, clarifications, recovery, homework, strengthening and deepening. Individual lessons, problem solving, exercises, assignments. Preparation of short and long-term objectives, correction and improvement of the study method, individual ad hoc program for beginners and for students who intend to deepen or cement their skills.

Editing, correction and revision (in LaTeX or professional software) of papers, term papers, reports, presentations, slides, researches; first approaches to programming in Python or data analysis in Excel.

From university level to primary school.
I have regularly followed and follow young people of all kinds and with very different needs including students with dyscalculia or specific educational needs. I am very patient and empathetic, I always put my students at ease and always establish an equal and friendly relationship, clarify their doubts, deepen the program treated and / or enrich it with simple and intuitive examples and practical cases.

The lessons are completely adapted to your needs, together we will set the program and the objectives to be achieved. My goal is to make people familiar with the topic, make them safe and motivated.

Your prior knowledge doesn't matter.
Initially guided and subsequently autonomous and interactive development of Tests, Exercises and Examples justified by the Theory. Online lessons in videoconference with interactive whiteboard.
Notes will be produced during the lesson, provided to the student in .pdf format (or other format depending on what has been agreed).

During the videoconference the interactive whiteboard will be shared, on which I will write freehand, and on which the student can write in turn, interrupting, asking questions about the less clear points and on which I will be able to monitor the progress of the exercises. I will use professional software for graphic visualization, simulation and verification of results, I will share images, videos and explanatory graphics. (Everything will be shared and will remain saved in your personal area along with your notes).

I can provide the didactic material selected for each subject and assign targeted exercises.

Ad hoc program to maximize results.
All my students managed to reach the goals set within the established time frame. Many of the students I trained and guided did not have any basic skills.

I have supported students with the need to:
- learn effectively and efficiently, to pass an upcoming or long-term exam or test;
- deepen, exercise and enhance previous knowledge from an independent study;
- carry out exercises with my guide;
- learn from scratch, without any previous knowledge;
- retrieve topics never done well or that have been poorly explained during their studies;

My teaching is based on the precise and clear explanation, through many analogies, images and examples, of the questions posed by the student and the topics covered, together with exercises carried out by the student and guided by me. The goal is to convey the student's ability to solve problems and think in an intuitive as well as logical way, rather than using a sterile mnemonic method. Going to develop transversal skills that will find immediate application in daily life by applying critical thinking and logical-deductive understanding to everyday problems.
