About Fatima

I am a 2021 Marketing and Management Graduate with a First Class Honours Degree, now a Marketing Officer. I have always enjoyed tutoring students, as I know how stressful and difficult it can be when you don't have the proper support. That's why I love to make learning easy and engaging for my students. I always encourage an open environment where the students feel comfortable to tell me their weaknesses so that I can help make them their strengths. I'm easy to get along with, conversational and always put 100% effort into anything I set my mind to!

About the lesson

My lessons will be catered for students studying GCSE or A Level Business, and they will typically run for 1-2 hours, depending on the student's preference and need for revision. I have tutored A-Level Business, helping my students go through their specific exam board specifications to cover all content, practising and thoroughly going through past exam papers. I have also tutored and mentored Yr12 Business A-Level classes. What's my approach to lessons? I would first consult with the student to find out what topic they need the most help on, which exam board they are sitting their exams for and what their goal is for our tutoring sessions. Once finding these out, it will help me understand what I should prioritise during our sessions so that the maximum time is efficiently used. For example, if the student is struggling with understanding ‘Markets' and their exam board is Edexcel, I would go through this exam board’s specification so I know what topics to cover within this section. I would break down the lesson into a series of mini subtopics related to the spec, e.g., mass markets vs niche, pros and cons of mass/niche. This will enable an easy flow of the lesson and give the student a chance to understand this area of a topic more efficiently. I would also include an exam question at the end of each lesson to make sure they put into practice what they have learnt, and we will answer it together, following the exam board's criteria.
