About Alice
Hi, I’m Alice! I’m a qualified Primary Teacher with a PGCE and QTS, as well as a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I have experience teaching children across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and I particularly enjoy helping children build their confidence alongside their academic skills.
I understand that every child learns differently, so I take the time to get to know each student and tailor lessons to their individual needs, interests and goals. Whether your child needs support with a particular subject, is preparing for an assessment, or simply needs a little extra confidence, I aim to make every lesson positive, engaging and supportive.
I have extensive experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including SEND, and am confident adapting my teaching, resources and communication to help every child feel successful.
My Psychology background also gives me a strong understanding of how children learn, develop and respond to different teaching approaches. I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a safe learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their independence.

I am a qualified Primary Teacher with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a PGCE with QTS. I have experience teaching children across the primary age range, including pupils with SEND, and I take a calm, encouraging and personalised approach to tutoring.
My teaching is adapted to each learner’s individual needs, confidence and starting point. I use clear explanations, modelling, questioning, practical activities, visual resources and plenty of opportunities for guided and independent practice. I focus on building understanding rather than simply memorising answers, while using regular assessment and feedback to identify gaps and track progress. I aim to make lessons engaging and supportive so that children develop both their academic skills and confidence.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes, although I can adapt the length depending on the child’s age, concentration and learning needs.
I can support children aged approximately 4–11 (EYFS and Key Stage 1–2) across the primary curriculum, particularly English, reading, phonics, writing and maths. I also have experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs, and can adapt lessons and resources accordingly.
My experience as a classroom teacher means I am familiar with the National Curriculum, assessment expectations and progression across primary education, allowing me to tailor tuition to what each child needs to work towards their next steps.
