About Mireia
I was one of those girls who on car trips used to add the digits to the license plate for fun. So when my first student got a 10 in math she reminded me of my past self, and since then we've turned to math.
The fact is that I have managed to transmit that passion for Mathematics to my students, especially to my students.
In the majority of Engineering or Pure Sciences careers, the percentage of women is notably lower than that of men. For this reason, I focus a lot on my students having that confidence they lack to embrace math and science from an early age if possible.
Likewise, I try to make all my students lose their fear of mathematics and explore by connecting issues around them with this area of knowledge. Simply because I did it that way and now mathematics is part of who I am.

I think that at basic levels you can understand mathematics with examples because we have all turned on after a comment like: "well and this is seen in the following example". That is why my classes are very short in theory, but very long in practice.
I like my students to develop mathematical thinking and that is why I propose exercises with the same procedure but sentences written in a different way, exercises where the solution does not belong to the real numbers or exercises that have to use a graphing calculator to find the solution.
Of course, this option is only viable if the student has time, if there is little time left for an important exam, the study methods are completely different. For example, formulas are not explained, but are memorized, types of exercises are related to types of procedures ... Effective in a short time.
