About Raquel
Throughout my time in school - whether it was elementary or college - I always enjoyed helping others to understand math and science subjects. I feel that I am able to simplify explanations in a way that makes them easier to understand and absorb. Math and science courses are always challenging, but I feel confident in my abilities as a tutor in such subjects. I currently tutor math and science courses at Mount Wachusett Community College part-time and plan to use the skills I have acquired tutoring at this school when tutoring students for this platform.

My tutoring approach is to ask a student how comfortable they feel in the subject in order to assess where to start. This way we can identify what to focus on for the session. As I get to know an individuals learning style, I am able to personalize my tutoring more and more to achieve the best results. STEM subjects are those that require a lot of repetition in order to remember important strategies or processes. Because of this, I always make sure that my students understand the basics of the subject at hand before diving into the complexities. That way, we can take the more difficult parts in portions at each students own learning pace. I am extremely passionate about helping others to learn. I believe it to be an extremely rewarding career. I look forward to working with you!
