About Matilde

Hello! I'm delighted to welcome you into my world of music, where each note played and every song sung marks the beginning of a beautiful journey. My life has been a tapestry woven with melodies, harmonies, and the joy of sharing music with others. As we embark on this journey together, here's a glimpse into who I am, both as a musician and as your guide.

My Musical Roots: My adventures began at a tender age from my father's shoulders, where I fell in love with the world of music through the electrifying world that is live music. I grew to make it my own, developing an early passion for guitar, soon accompanied by a love for singing and songwriting, creating a multifaceted pathway that has since defined my musical identity. Years of dedicated practice, performance, and exploration have not only shaped my skills but also deepened my appreciation for the transformative power of music.

Professional Pathway: The road to professionalism was paved with countless live performances, collaborative projects, and an insatiable desire to learn. I pursued formal education in music at BIMM London with a MA in Composition, absorbing the intricacies of musical theory, songwriting, and performance. This blend of real-world experience and academic grounding has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of music, which I'm eager to share with you.

Teaching Philosophy: My approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that music education should be joyful, inspiring, and tailored to each individual's passions and goals. Teaching music is not just a profession for me; it's a way of giving back and sharing this passion. Witnessing the moment a student discovers their own musical voice or masters a challenging piece is profoundly rewarding. My aim is to nurture your talents, inspire your creativity, and support you in achieving your musical aspirations.

Looking Forward: As your tutor, I'm not just teaching chords and scales; I'm inviting you into a community of music lovers. A place where your musical dreams are taken seriously, and where every lesson is a step towards mastering not just an instrument, but the love for musical expression itself.
