I don’t believe in luck, I believe in work. And hard work doesn’t mean ‘ to study continuously for hours ‘. In my opinion, one should study for short period but should study SMARTLY ! And this is what I would be emphasising on, as I have done this myself in my OLEVELS (3 A*s and 6As) and my ALEVELS (1A* and 2As).
