About Nicole
Thank you for considering me to be your tutor! I was a teacher in the public education system in Western Australia for 19 years. During this time I taught Kindergarten to Year 9. My specialist area is general education in the early years (kindergarten-year 2). I have been tutoring for 2 years working with students in years 4-10 and year 11 ATAR English. English and Math are my favorite subjects to teach. They are the fundamental skills everyone needs to function in society on a daily basis. I like to use hands-on experiences, concrete materials and the gradual release model in my lessons.

Been tutoring face to face for 2 years. Follow Australian and Western Australian Curriculum Years P-6, focusing on Math, HASS, Science and English. Use a phonics-based approach along with Science of Reading, Writing Revolution, Talk4Writing and 7 Steps of Writing. Use a hands-on, gradual release approach to learning. Lessons are personally tailored to students' interests and abilities. Lessons typically go for 1 hour but can be adjusted to student needs.
