About Thomas

Graduated in constitutional law from Brasenose college in Oxford and in philosophy of law from Panthéon-Assas (as well as a license in public law and a degree in Common law from Paris II), I am currently an M2 student in international law public (Paris II). I also study Russian (Sorbonne) and the history of law (Paris II). This multidisciplinarity allows me to best explain the law (introduction to law, theory of law and constitutional law) to L1. My career within Paris II also allows me to have a rigorous look at the methodology specific to each legal exercise (judgment commentary, dissertation and practical case).

About the lesson

Being a graduate in philosophy of law, public law and English law, my explanation of law (particularly constitutional law for L1) will be done by a presentation of the SENS of law (theoretical foundations of the Constitution of 1958, comparison with the law English, implications in public law ...).

My course strongly emphasizes the methodology (which is essential to good practice) and the general understanding of constitutional law: it is therefore necessary to get out of a rote learning to enter into a meaningful understanding of the law.
My course finally aims to help you in the drafting of your legal exercises (in particular the outline of your dissertations in constitutional law), so that you become aware of your errors.

My course therefore mainly concerns undergraduate students - and especially the first years who must understand legal methods, very different from those of high school.

In order to ensure the effectiveness of my teaching, I stress the importance of at least weekly (possibility of a fixed price for several courses = 25 € / h rather than 30 € if a weekly fixed price for the semester). Course preference on zoom (or others)
