About Juan Manuel
Hi! I'm Juan Manuel.
I've been making music for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing and writing songs, and from there my curiosity has expanded more and more, leading me to study many different things. During my ten years in Europe, in addition to my diploma in composition in Vienna, I also studied audio and sound production in Paris, and there I took courses in harpsichord and early music. Jazz, which was always my escape from school, has become my language and my main focus, as it's where I've found the joining of opposites that I've been searching for since the beginning of my journey.
I'm starting my professional life, mixing my first album and getting to know the scene in Madrid, and I'm very happy to be able to start sharing everything I've learned over these years with curious people who love music.
Ultimately, I am, as you probably are, searching for my creative voice and my path in this exciting and challenging world.

I understand music as an integral discipline: playing and writing go hand in hand, just like feeling and understanding. Theory isn't something cold and mathematical, but rather something living, practical, and malleable depending on the specific situation and the expressiveness needed.
If you're interested in jazz piano, I can guide you to understand this complex language in a way that not only helps you improvise better, but also allows you to understand the underlying reasons why certain techniques work and how to imagine beyond the established norms.
If you're interested in music theory or solfège, I assure you that in addition to making clear progress, we'll make music at every stage of the process. These won't simply be repetitive exercises; I'll strive to help you discover something new in each session.
Classes are for all levels, from complete beginners to conservatory students looking to advance in a particular area.
