About Katryna

I am an engineering graduate with a strong foundation in mathematics, including calculus, differential equations, and statistics. I have always enjoyed problem-solving and helping others understand challenging concepts in a clear and approachable way.

My tutoring experience began in high school, where I worked with K–12 students at Mathnasium. This experience taught me how to break down complex ideas into simple steps and adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and levels. I am patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students build both understanding and confidence.

I believe that anyone can succeed in math with the right support. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward mathematics

About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation while adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs. I believe math becomes much easier when students truly understand the “why” behind the steps, so I use clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice to reinforce learning. I encourage questions and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing a new concept in a step-by-step way. We then work through examples together before the student practices independently with my guidance. I end each session with a summary and targeted exercises to strengthen understanding.

What sets me apart is my background as an engineering graduate, which allows me to connect mathematical concepts to practical applications. I also have prior tutoring experience from working with K–12 students at Mathnasium, where I developed patience, adaptability, and effective communication skills.

My lessons are suitable for students from elementary through high school, including those studying addition and subtraction to algebra, geometry, calculus, and basic statistics. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or getting ahead, I tailor each session to their goals and learning.
