About Madeleine

Bonjour à toutes et à tous ! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Mississippi where I completed a BA in International Studies and French with an emphasis on European politics. During the past four years, I have received multiple honors and language awards in French, worked as a French tutor for the Modern Languages department, served as the president of UM French club, and spent a year in Angers, France where I had an immersive study abroad experience. During this time, I achieved C1 level fluency and this fall I will be returning to France to pursue a Masters at the Université Grenoble Alpes.

About the lesson

I believe the key to successful learning is allowing a student to logically process and absorb content rather than just recite it. As a tutor, I am here to guide and instruct you while also showing you the beauty of connection and understanding through a foreign language.
My lessons will always be crafted to your specific needs. I have worked with students who focused solely on grammar, students who needed help with pronunciation and speaking, and students who just wanted cohesive support for overall learning.
Foreign languages are difficult for everyone, and I know how frustrating it can be to rewire the way your brain interacts with communication. So, I want to create a supportive atmosphere where students can feel comfortable to make mistakes and encouraged to keep striving for excellence.
