I truly think that everyone has the capability to learn math, but unfortunately, the classroom is not a conducive environment for every kind of learner. If you feel lost in the classroom, that doesn't mean that you are any less capable than any other person. We just need to find the way that works best for you.

I want to cater lessons to your particular interest and not force-feed you math problems from a textbook. I think interactive activities are the best way to learn, not rote memorization. I try to get you to understand the "why" before the "how." I fully believe there is not "one way" to solve a math problem; I will collaborate with you so we can understand how you process information and find the best way for you to learn. I am certified but not limited to middle school mathematics.
