About Amy

I am passionate about helping young people and adults alike achieve their goals and learn in a way that engages their curiosity and makes them feel valued and understood. I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people, and being a small part of their lifelong learning journey!

About the lesson

I offer English GCSE lessons, as well as French lessons and English conversation classes for professionals. I hold an MA (Hons) in English and French from the University of St Andrews and a PGDE from UCL. I have four and a half years of experience teaching both subjects to GCSE level in secondary schools, and am highly skilled in engaging learners across the academic spectrum, as well as those with SEND. I also have experience of tutoring and holding conversation classes with adults. Regardless of age or stage, my approach is warm, enthusiastic and entirely tailored to the individual. French lessons After an initial 30 minute session during which we will discuss your goals and motivations for learning French, I will devise a scheme of work based on your existing knowledge of the language. Some printing of resources in advance may be required.
