About Laure

After studying piano and singing since she was 5 years old, taking part in numerous piano competitions, concerts and musicals during her adolescence, Laure decides to embark on a musical career after high school. She studied jazz for 3 years at the IMEP (formerly American School of Modern Music) then auditioned for the prestigious “Berklee College Of Music”. She obtained a scholarship and flew to Boston in the United States where she entered school in 2011. After graduating from “Summa Cum Laude” in 2014, Laure moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career. She obtained a position as a piano and vocal teacher at the French Conservatory of Beverly Hills and continued her artistic activity in parallel, between jazz concerts in luxury hotels or for private events, and small piano bars and concert halls where she sings and plays his own compositions. Back in Paris since the beginning of September, she hopes to be able to transmit her passion and her knowledge to Parisian music lovers;)

About the lesson

My methodology, whether singing or playing the piano, consists of working on all the "essentials" of music (solfège, reading, deciphering, ear work, understanding of harmony) so that they become natural and anchored , and thus allow freedom in the use of the instrument and the personal creativity of each. One thing I love about music is hearing a song that I like, and being able to play it, without sheet music, only by ear. And thanks to the technical side, to understand what I'm playing, and to be able to write the score for this song myself. I would love to pass this on to my students. For pianists, the lessons always include a classical learning part, scales, dexterity exercises, reading and deciphering, and a more modern part, with the learning and use of chords, which allows to play a repertoire of music. current in a much more accessible way. For singers, the lessons include a warm-up part and vocal exercises, then application on classical aria, or other more lyrical song, then work on a more modern piece, which you choose (or me if the inspiration is lacking;) The lessons can be in English, open to all ages, and all levels!
