About Zane

I am a graduate student at Texas A&M studying Structural Engineering. I have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering also from Texas A&M. While completing my Masters degree, I am also a teaching assistant for many of the undergraduate students here in the civil engineering department. However, I want to share my teaching skills and help anyone else outside of the Texas A&M community! Throughout my studies, I have taken many physics courses from mechanics, to engineering statics, to engineering dynamics. Furthermore, I have taken plenty of mathematics courses from algebra, to calculus, to cryptography. In fact, I love math so much I decided to minor in it! If you feel I have a sufficient background in the mathematics/physics course you want tutoring in, feel free to contact me! I look forward to helping anyone get through their mathematics/physics questions.

About the lesson

My teaching method revolves around the students preferred method of learning! If a student is a visual learner, then I will tutor using multiple examples and walk though each step with them (no skipping any simplifications as that's where I found myself wondering "where did that number come from" when I was learning these topics). Contrastively, if a student prefers to talk through a question (or visualize it in their head) before writing anything out, I will gladly talk through it with them as well as explain any theory/methodology that may be confusing. Most importantly, I know mathematics/physics can be frustrating, so my best method of teaching is to simply be PATIENT with the student.
