About Kristen
I graduated with my associate's degree in general studies (Arts and Humanities) in 2021. After I completed that degree, I began working on my bachelor's in history, which was completed in 2022. I am a recent graduate of a Master's degree program in History from a regionally accredited university. I am currently working on my state certification to teach Social Studies content to grades 6-12. I spend the 2023-2024 school year teaching middle school Science.

I am a firm believer in the discussion and critical analysis approach to learning. I believe that through engaging a student with an understanding of what they already know versus what they are learning helps to establish a fundamental structure within their learning capabilities. One of my typical lesson plans involves working on the subject content by evaluating the material, learning what to question from the material, and then gauging the information to highlight the key necessities of each lesson. I work with students from all areas from elementary to college level, as well as with various subject matter.
