About Asmita
Hello, I'm Asmita Pandey, a passionate and dedicated Ph.D. scholar currently pursuing my doctoral journey at Jamia Millia Islamia. My educational path has been a fascinating one, beginning with an English medium upbringing at Gyan Bharti School in Delhi. I continued to fuel my love for literature by completing my undergraduate studies at Gargi College, University of Delhi, followed by postgraduate studies at Jamia Millia Islamia's Department of English. I have also procured a B.Ed for English and Social Science teaching from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. In my pursuit of excellence in English language teaching, I've undertaken specialized courses to further enhance my teaching skills. My academic and creative endeavors extend beyond the classroom; I derive immense joy from both reading and writing, and I've had the privilege of presenting and publishing studies and papers at various prestigious universities. My quest for knowledge took me to Heidelberg University, Germany, where I engaged in a SPARC course on vernacular languages. Beyond my academic qualifications, I'm a true Delhiite, nurtured in a Hindi-English speaking household. While reading remains a passion, I also find artistic expression in painting, enjoy the world of music, immerse myself in movies, and indulge in thought-provoking web series. What sets my teaching journey apart is my commitment to fostering an inclusive, stimulating, and healthy learning environment. I've had the privilege of working with numerous young students and scholars, encouraging them to think outside the box, generating ideas and activities that facilitate learning. For me, education and learning are not just professions but lifelong pursuits. I firmly believe that the student-teacher relationship is among the most vital connections one can form in life. As a teacher, my unwavering aim is to empower and educate to the best of my abilities, always eager to learn and refine my skills from both my students and fellow learners.
