About Bella
I’m a recent 1st class graduate student, pursuing my long term goal of Clinical Psychology. I was awarded the Faculty Medal and British Psychological Society award for my academic excellence in the discipline. I studied History, English and Psychology at A-Level, achieving grades A, A*, A*, and conducted an original research study relating to Piaget’s work on egocentrism, for my EPQ (A*). Beyond my studies, I’ve worked in the hospitality sector as a Barista, and offered childcare for many years. I have extensive experience working with young people, volunteering with Cubs for a number of years. With Action Tutoring, I have worked on a voluntary basis as a tutor with disadvantaged children.

My teaching method is flexible, dependent on the needs of my tutee. As a part of my degree, I study Education itself and pedagogy, so I appreciate the need to adapt to the child. Due to my degree background and previous voluntary work with Cubs, I have a strong understanding of special educational needs, and would be delighted to assist your child should they have any additional needs. I would like to encourage a love for the subject, whilst ensuring the tutee will achieve academically in an exam scenario. Consequently, the curriculum should be the springboard guiding the content of the session, with a focus on skills (eg. Essay writing, interpreting studies, understanding methodologies) or perhaps a discipline which the individual finds challenging (eg. Biological psychology). I can tutor GCSE, A-Level or first/second year undergraduate level Psychology.
