About Jane
It's not my job to make every student love math. I don't need you to even like it, but you do need to pass out. Let me help you get through that process with patience and understanding. I'll answer any question and do as many examples as you need to fully understand the topics we work on.

I have mostly taught Algebra but also taught seventh grade math for a bit. I recognize that a lot of students have a fear of math based on previous experience with frustrated teachers. I am not here to make students love math, I am here to help them understand it better. Sometimes that means saying things a few different ways or showing extra examples. I am always extremely positive about any forward movement we're making, so I'm frequently cheering my students on, literally. I specialize in middle school math as well as Algebra 1 and Geometry. I am available to any student taking any of those levels of math.
