About Leah
I’m Leah, a tutor in Maths and Chemistry! I’ve got a BA from the University of Cambridge, and my degree was in Linguistics. At A level, I did Maths, Chemistry and Sociology, some of my favourite subjects at GCSE. Doing a degree that wasn’t directly related to my A Levels meant that I had to commit to actively internalising new information, which is key to real learning and understanding. I believe that I managed to do as well as I did in school because I dedicated time to really understanding and conceptualising what I needed to know in each subject, which ultimately makes it easier to remember. My aim with tuition is to make this easier for GCSE and A Level students by offering support and extra help with the curriculum content!

Lessons in Maths and Chemistry are available for all ages up to GCSE. My approach will rely on the specification released by the exam board, going step-by-step to ensure a proper understanding of the content. However, if preferred, lessons can cover specific topics that the student is struggling with! I did the Edexcel exams at school, so this is preferred, however if you reach out and ask about a different exam board I will be more than happy to look into whether I can teach the required content. With communication, it should be simple enough to tailor the structure and length of lessons to your needs, so these are fairly flexible.
