About Erika
I truly care about the whole student. I want them to be excited about learning and remember what they learned. We will make connections, make lessons relatable and meaningful. I have enjoyed my teaching job for the past 10 years and seeing students shine when they learned something they once thought was hard. The sense of accomplishment is the best feeling, and it comes from the hard work we do together.

My focus is building background knowledge to have information to refer back to. I use a lot of visuals, anchor charts, and repetition. The goal is to make growth and pace the learning for the learning to stick and stay. I use books that are relatable as well as informational texts that are fun and interesting to learn. And when it comes to math, we will be breaking it up every step of the way.
