About Rachael
For over 20 years, I have worked as an artist and a teacher. I have lived and worked abroad and I have developed a series of teaching practices that incorporate creative practices to help the learner stay positive and focused on the process. The process of learning a language is not just knowledge acquisition but rather is a skills-based system which requires practice. A lot of practicing then is based on a sense of confidence. I help to build the student's confidence while introducing material and supporting the student's practice. I graduated from New York University with a Masters and I have traveled to many countries around the world. I love learning!

I build classes around your interests. It is always easier to learn a language when you work from the perspective of your life goals. Even if you are learning a language "just for fun" - infusing your own personal interests will always make language-learning fun and keep you motivated. This approach also helps with vocabulary development. As a College Professor, I understand the process of keeping to reflecting on small wins and success!
