About Nick
Teaching, for me, is one of the most privileging roles to have and thus has become a real passion of mine. To take my knowledge and skillsets in teaching to develop the learning and understanding of a student and see them progress and form their own passion for the subject is a fantastic experience. Having spent my adult life in the world's top universities and academic institutes, I have seen what difference a good and engaging teacher can make, how they can inspire and develop the next generation of thinkers and do'ers, and to pass on passions.
I do maintain that a balanced life is vital and thus on a more personal level, I do yoga, triathlon, mountaineering, climbing, judo and enjoy walks with my dog - I maintain a fun and exciting life.

With 4 years of teaching experience at all levels, I emphasise a pupil centred approach where I take the time to understand my pupil, how they work and what motivates and engages them. This technique has enabled me to create an efficient and personalised learning environment that sees results and is kept interesting and progressive. I take the time to fully understand the aims and goals of the student's needs, as well as those of the parent(s) and from this we can outline a good structure to the sessions and what we hope to get out of them in a clear and concise manner.
Having studied maths, physics and the natural sciences from school A-levels up to Master's level and continuing them at Cambridge Medical School, I have a good breadth and depth of knowledge and can offer real world applications and practical examples - also having worked in industry. I can offer my lessons to student's at all ages, having previously worked with age groups 8-12, 12-16, 16-18 and 18-24, and I take pride in my lesson's ability to adapt and progress with the student's and their needs.
