About JJ
My Name is Adriaan Engelbrecht, I am 21 years of age and currently reside in Lutzville in the Western Cape, South Africa! I'm a certified TEFL applicant. I have a passion for teaching English and helping others enjoy the fruits that speaking this universal language brings.
I am a hands-on teacher and on time, all the time! However, I find it easy to sympathize with learners if and when needed or required by circumstances. I am extremely motivating and encouraging, ensuring that the learners will always be eager and willing to learn and take in the lessons and activities that have been planned. I believe in being as hands-on and involved with their studies as possible, having a dedicated and caring teacher enables learners to study with ease knowing that their best interests are at the core of all that the teacher does!

When it comes to my teaching style I find that the Total Physical Response (TPR) method works best. I believe that communication is key, I strive to be as engaging as possible thus enabling students to feel seen and heard as well as understood. When learners recognize that the teachers' main goal is to help them perform at an optimal level they tend to take in each lesson. Teaching is more than just assigning work and elaborating on structure, grammar or spelling... It's about providing learners with hope or achieving a better and brighter future!
