About Jocelyn
I am a recent graduate from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. My degree was not in Spanish, but I did take intermediate level Spanish courses while in college and I completed 3 years of Spanish in high school. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Panama for 4 months where I was immersed in the language and culture and even took a Spanish class taught by a native Panamanian speaker.

My lessons are designed for beginner Spanish speakers who are interested in learning vocabulary and simple verbs and their conjugations. I start my lessons by going over a small list of vocabulary that consists of nouns and verbs. Together we will go over the translations for each word and for the verbs we will conjugate them using yo, tu, el/ella, nosotros, and ellos/ellas. We will then translate some prewritten sentences. Then finish by writing our own sentences with the vocabulary learned during the lesson. Some lessons may include me reading a sentence aloud and having the student translate what I have just said.
