About Jacq
I am graduating undergraduate education with two degrees in three years, so I know what it looks like to work really hard in school and struggle! I have also been working a service job and two writing editorial jobs while completing 18+ credit hours every semester, so I know how to balance responsibilities and can help students do the same thing. I have professional experience as the Editor in Chief of a student-staffed literary journal, so I know how to lead and connect with students and instruct in the English field.

I want to get to know you and help you as an individual! A lot of tutoring and teaching is generalized, I'd like to work with you as your own person in whatever style of learning works best for you. Learning should be personal and fun, I want to get excited about the material and find ways to make the content feel more relevant and engaging to students. I have a lot of experience in writing workshops and literary classes, which can feel intimidating to go through, so I know how difficult it can be! I want to help students navigate the competitive and complex nature of English in academia, and encourage them to truly enjoy the content.
