About Emily
Hi, my name is Emily and I am from the US. I have a BA in English, with an emphasis on creative writing. I have worked on literary magazines, been the judge of several writing competitions, copy-edited, as well as been an English tutor for over three years. I was employed by Washington State University, in both their in-person and online campus, to tutor non-native speakers. I have tutored both children and adults in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. I am a dancer, and have over 8 years of experience in various styles. I currently work as a manager/ business administrator in the Philippines, and have worked several jobs as an executive assistant, specializing in business reports. I think taking the time to learn and grow is such an amazing thing, and I want to be there to help guide you towards the best version of you!
Side note: I love dogs, and have one named Frankie. I am just getting into kite-surfing, diving and bachata! I also love bats. See you in class!

Each student learns differently and I specifically design my courses to best benefit each individual. I think the classroom can be a very transformative place, and want to help each person grow by creating a safe space where you can ask as many questions as you want, and leave each class feeling like you really learned something.
