About Jenna
I've always been passionate about language learning which is why I studied Modern Languages at University and then acquired a TESL certificate. I understand what it's like to learn a second language and, as a result, can predict what struggles students tend to have when studying English as a second language. I've taught in Thailand at a high school and in Italy at a private language school as well as online for different companies. My favourite part of being an English tutor is when a student finally grasps a concept, big or small, and everything clicks into place for them.

All lessons are conducted online via Zoom and are catered to the students' needs. Since I offer mainly Cambridge Exam Prep, we follow a book provided by me. Lessons range anywhere from 30-90 min. Once I can understand the student's strengths and weaknesses, lessons are constructed to help the student improve the areas where they struggle in order to feel fully prepared. I also give homework when necessary so the student is putting in the time needed to be prepared. For General English lessons, I typically focus on speaking and reading as a way to build confidence and improve conversation, grammar and vocabulary skills. I teach all ages but students must have a basic conversation level of English. For YLE learners, they need to be able to write and say simple sentences.

The hourly rate is subject to change based on student's needs.
For example, if you are interested in doing a comprehensive Cambridge Exam Prep course, the rates will be different depending on the level. This is due to the extra time I take to prepare materials as well as marking papers and giving feedback.
