About Anastasia
Hello students, my name is Ana. No need for formal introductions here. We are going to both be seeing each other out there working on the floor side by side one day and you are already so much closer to being there than you can imagine. I remember my trials through nursing school and if I would have had a tutor I could lean on, it would have been much more inspiring.. but I was inspired to work with patients, not just learn simple answers to questions that I may never see again. This is why I am here to help all of you. I want that experience for you! Working as a nurse in the hospital makes you realize that you are not just trying to solve one problem, you are solving many every single moment you are working and when you are able to think about the problems in a bigger picture focus then you can really change the way you take tests and change the way you interact with individuals in the real-life setting like at clinicals. The tests are there to try to get your mind thinking in that way, but not many instructors have the time in class to teach their students to think in this way, so I would like us to take a little more time to come together and really do some critical thinking and use your clinical judgment as if this were your own patient so you understand the true meaning behind the answer you are choosing on a test or for homework. These answers will impact the ability of your decision-making as a nurse when you are licensed one day and you want to make sure you are ready to step into that demanding role with confidence and competence in the choices you choose to make for your patient care.

My lessons will not be heavy-handed or stressful. I want to be able to work with you on the problems presented. I am not here to give you the answers. I want to work with you to get to the right answer. This is about problem-solving our way through real-life thought processing. Basically taking a problem and putting you in the shoes of being that patient's nurse so you can use your intelligent mind to problem solve not just a problem or a test question, but an actual person with a real-life set of health concerns that lead you to helping them as a nurse and choosing the right interventions using the Nursing process to prove that you are a competent nurse for that patient. Looking deeper into the patient as a whole is the new way of nursing in nursing school and that will help you become a more confident thinker that leads you to being more confident when you work with your patients in clinicals and then when you take your NCLEX you will already have that thinking process as one of your many tools so you can beat the exam and be one step closer to being licensed to help so many individuals in a real-life setting as their competent well-thought-out able to solve complex problems nurse!
