My teaching philosophy is centered on clarity, engagement, and adaptability. I break down complex mathematical and statistical concepts into simple, digestible steps, using real-life examples to make abstract ideas more relatable. I assess each student's learning style visual or auditory and adapt my delivery accordingly. I encourage active learning through problem-solving, guided practice, and Socratic questioning, which helps build confidence and critical thinking.
Typical Lesson Plan example but flexible:
Review (5-10 minutes): A quick recap of previous lessons and clarification of any lingering doubts.
Concept Introduction (10-15 minutes): I introduce new material using examples, diagrams, or simulations depending on the topic.
Guided Practice (20-25 minutes): We solve problems together, discussing different methods and potential pitfalls.
Independent Practice (10-15 minutes): Students attempt problems independently while I provide feedback and support.
Wrap-up (5 minutes): A summary of key takeaways and setting goals or assignments for the next session.
What distinguishes me is my ability to turn anxiety into confidence. I emphasize understanding over memorization and foster a growth mindset. I’m patient, empathetic, and attuned to each student's pace. My background also includes using digital tools SQL, Python, R and Tableau to visualize concepts and enhance learning, especially in statistics.
