About Rawan
I have had a lifelong passion for storytelling. I have always loved reading and writing, and have found a way to make it my career. As a former teacher and current journalist, I live to write about the world around me. It is this mix of experiences that allows me to bring something unique to each lesson. With me, it's not just about passing tests and getting better grades. It's about learning to enjoy reading and writing about a wide range of stories in different formats. We all love stories in one form or another and helping students find what they love about English will motivate them to do better.

Dedication and open-mindedness are the foundation of my teaching methods. Having taught English and ESL at intermediate and high school levels, I believe in taking the time to understand the student's needs. This then allows me to individualize my lessons to each person. In addition to my teaching experience, I have a bachelor's degree in communications and geography and have been working as a professional journalist for the Otago Daily Times. This means I also have real-world experience in writing that I can pass down to my students. My lessons are open for year 7-13.
