About Charlotte
My name is Charlotte and I have always had a passion for teaching. I was a volunteer tutor while I was still in school which encouraged me to continue this afterwards.
I excelled in school but not due to the traditional teaching methods. I was determined to do well but having ADHD myself I had to find different ways of learning. This inspired me to share my methods to encourage focus and show the power of a reward based structure for those with SEN.
I enjoy working with children that struggle in school as I feel like I introduce a new perspective on learning. It’s a rewarding experience for myself and the student.
I am patient and flexible to adjust to the students specific needs. As no two people learn in the same way and at the same speed.

Lessons - via zoom, typically 1-2 hours. Custom lesson length and style specific to the child. Despite being online I have numerous interactive activities to ensure engagement and fast progress.
I use games and mini tests to assess gaps in knowledge and keep the lessons engaging. This allows me to structure an effective lesson plan for future sessions focusing on those gaps and developing from there.
6 years experience - ages 15/16.
Experience with children with SEN, which has allowed me to develop a multitude of techniques for different learning styles and levels of engagement.
GCSE level - higher or foundation.
