My teaching approach is student-centered, structured, and adaptive. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, learning style, and areas of difficulty, then tailor lessons accordingly. I focus on clarity and confidence—breaking complex concepts into manageable parts and reinforcing them through guided practice, real examples, and discussion. I use a mix of explanation, modeling, active questioning, and applied exercises to ensure students don’t just memorize material but truly understand it. I also emphasize metacognition, helping students recognize how they learn best so they can become more independent over time.

Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson follows a clear but flexible structure:

Check-in & goal setting – Brief review of previous material and identification of the day’s objectives

Concept introduction or review – Clear explanation using examples relevant to the student’s coursework

Guided practice – Working through problems, passages, or writing together

Independent practice – Student applies skills with my support and feedback

Review & takeaway – Summary of key points and strategies, plus next steps or optional practice

Lessons are adjusted in pace and format depending on the student’s needs, whether they require more repetition, challenge, or discussion.
