About Bonham

Hello, I'm Bonham - a graduate Historian from the University of Cambridge and the first in my family to pursue higher education. I aspire to carve out an academic career either here in the UK or in Italy (being half-Italian). I also write and direct plays in my free time and my latest endeavour 'Repubblica' was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe!

About the lesson

Since 2019, I have tutored in A Level English Literature, English Language and History and helped demystify the university and Oxbridge process by supporting many students' applications. I am half-Italian and was fortunate enough to spend a summer abroad teaching English in Salerno for ages roughly 10-17. I also spent three years volunteering at my local library which doubled as a safe space for homeless and vulnerable persons. My tutoring approach isn't one-size-fits-all, as I prefer to adapt my tutoring style to meet the individual needs and requirements of my tutees. Everybody works differently and in my view they deserve a uniquely tailored tutoring plan that is cognisant of the kind of learner they are. I am personable and friendly, and the proudest feedback I've received is when one of my former tutees told me that our sessions felt more like a productive conversation rather than a typical 'dull lesson'. I love fostering people's passions for academia and working with a diverse range of backgrounds.

Perfect! Bonham was professional and he is a good storyteller, my son was engaged throughout the two hours! At the end of the lesson, he said he had enjoyed it and that he would like to continue weekly.
