About Daniel
My name is Daniel Houston, I am a 32 year old educator from Newcastle Australia and I have been deeply involved in the development of literacy programs in both selective and comprehensive high schools for close to 10 years. I specialise in factual writing which extends predominantly to the humanities courses where both short and extended response writing is key. Using my skill set I have been an active member of my current high school literacy team developing programs which cater to a range of different abilities which include but are not limited to years 7- 12. Students looking to bump up results and build confidence in their ability to both predict and answer examination style questions at all levels will benefit from my lesson delivery.

My teaching methods see students advance their understandings of short and extended response writing. I am a specialist in delivering targeted lessons which give students the skills necessary to go into written examinations with confidence in their ability to unpack complex questions and to respond to them effectively. I am a current HSC Ancient, Modern and Extension History teacher and have been educating students since 2014. I specialise in teaching junior stages 4,5 and senior stage 6 ages 12-18
My lessons are for all levels of ability and I can guarantee significant improvements in a students writing should you reach out. Lessons will typically run for an hour but I am flexible regarding timing.
