About Abdub

I am a dedicated and experienced Mathematics tutor committed to helping learners build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and achieve their academic goals. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Mathematics and Business Studies) and have over six years of teaching experience, which has equipped me with effective strategies to support learners with different abilities, backgrounds, and learning needs.

My teaching approach is learner-centred, supportive, and interactive. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. I use clear explanations, practical examples, visual learning resources, digital tools, guided practice, and regular feedback to make Mathematics simple, meaningful, and enjoyable.

Every lesson is carefully prepared based on the learner’s level, objectives, and areas requiring improvement. A typical lesson lasts 45–60 minutes and includes concept introduction, explanation, learner participation, practice activities, problem-solving exercises, and a brief assessment to measure progress.

I have experience teaching and mentoring secondary school students and teacher trainees, helping them improve their performance while developing confidence and a positive attitude towards Mathematics. My focus is not only on achieving better grades but also on building independent learners who can think critically and solve problems effectively.

About the lesson

my approach to tutoring is learner centred,interactive and focused on helping students understand concepts rather than memorising procedures.I believe every learner has a unique abilities and learning needs,so I begin by assessing the learner current level ,identifying areas of difficulty and designing lessons that match their goals and pace.

my teaching methodology combines clear explainations, practical examples ,guided practice and continuous feedback. In mathematics , i use step by step demonstartion,reallife situations ,visual aids,questioning techniques,problem solving activities and digital learning tools to make abstract concepts easier to understand . I encourage learners to ask question ,expalin their thinking and develop confidence in solving problems independently
lesson lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour ,dependening on the learners age,level and learning objectives.each lesson normally includes;
i) A short review of previous knowledge and checking understanding.
ii) Introduction and explanation of the new concepts.
iii)worked examples and guided practices
iv)independent exercise to build confidence
v)summary ,feedback and assignments or practice task

I have over 6 years experience in teaching in mathematics .I hold a Bachelor of education degree in mathematics and business studies and currently work as a mathematics tutor at Meru teachers training college. i have experience teaching mathematics at secondary level,training future teachers,preparing learning materials ,assessing learners and supporting students with different learning abilities

my lessons are designed for ; i)secondary school students preparing for examination
ii)Teacher trainees who want to strengthen their mathematics content and teaching skills
iii)learners who need additional support, confidence building and improvement in mathematics
iv)students interested in developing strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes ,asking questions and developing a positive attitude towards mathematics.
