About Mariana
My name is Mariana. I have graduated college with a 3.95 GPA. I had an A in all my math courses. I helped many students in the university who have fallen behind on their material. I have been tutoring elementary school children for about 3 years and I love to see their improved math test scores after only 1 session. I had a student who went from 68% test result before tutoring to 83% after our first session. It feels amazing to see the excitement of these children. They are no longer afraid of tests, they feel confident, they love math and look forward to our sessions. This in turn is very rewarding for me and I love the work I do and the children I work with.

In my tutoring sessions, I use Student Centered, Teacher Centered and Interactive methods of learning depending on the student. First, I observe the student to see what he is struggling with, then I take the time to explain the correct way, then I watch the student do it alone a few times to make sure the concept was understood. I also ask questions to help the student learn, understand and memorize. I work mainly with elementary children. In my tutoring experience, I have seen students grade improve by 1 level in only 2 months of working with me. Student's confidence increases and love for math also.
