About Jimena

I'm Jimena, Colombian, 32 years old and I'm a very smiling, patient, empathetic person, also with me you can find a friend or somebody to talk (preferably in Spanish for your practice). Also, I studied business and I worked in logistics in my country, so if you need a more professional one, I can help you as well.

About the lesson

I like to understand what is the best way the adult or the kids prefer to learn, not everyone is the same, some people prefer to listen, read or more didactic, I am very open and flexible. I like to do it very didactic and a lot of examples and repeat as much as I can until the person can do it correctly. I was a volunteer in my country to teach people of limited resources that abandoned the school for different reasons, so mostly it was elderly people trying to understand basic math. Also in this foundation, I worked with kids in different activities meanwhile the parents were learning with the other volunteers. Another great experience was being an au pair in the USA for one year, in this year I taught Spanish to my girls. My lessons are for everyone, I like to teach everyone who wants to learn, it is never too late or young to learn.

Perfect! I have been very happy with the lessons with Jimena. We are following a textbook so the lessons are following a structure. She is good at correcting my pronunciation. She has a relaxed teaching style and is good to learn with. 5 stars!

Hemos charlamos de una gran variedad de temas, mientras dando paseos agradables por la playa y el parque. Le encuentro amable y simpática, me da mucha confianza, aún sobre temas nuevas o difíciles (para mí, claro, no para ella!). Ella me suporta con consejos muy útiles, y siento seguro de que mis habilidades van a crecer muchas lo más que nos seguímos encontrarnos.

Her teaching skills secondary to her innate ability to understand what we, as students need is on a whole other level.
