About Molly

My name is Molly, and I am a Sociology graduate from Bristol.
I have been very fortunate to of gained plenty of teaching experience over the past four years.

I taught sociology A-level to which I aided and assisted students that struggled to write coherent and engaging essays for their exams. This was done through practice papers, and guided ppt lessons. I have always been fond of essay writing, which once achieved, can be applied to other subjects including English and History.

I was then fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to teach in China. I began training within English learning as a second language, where I taught children how to speak english. Creating memorable patterns to bind the links between their English and native tongue, to speak more fluently.

Thereafter, I joined a Cambridge programme, that supported students to both write, and speak in English across all their subjects in the hopes of being accepted into a foreign university.
My understanding of language goes beyond English, in which I then began studying and speaking Mandarin; it is something I have a great fond of.

About the lesson

Visual learning is something I'm extremely fond of. Depending on the age of my student, i find it beneficial to include songs, or videos to help students feel more engaged. We can focus on a passage, and carefully analyse it whilst giving tips and tools needed for individual work.
Exploring new ideas and characteristics, I strive for my students to find passion within the subject so that it feels less of a chore in completing work.

I have taught students between the ages of 5 to 17 and I am aware that not all students will fit into the same box with what works for them. Resultantly, lessons can be adjusted accordingly to how you see fit.

English especially, I have taught young children to begin speaking and creating the linguistic patterns to talk in a second language.
Moreover, I have helped students to structure and practice essays, so that they are able to find key ideas and hit the markers, to pass or ace such exams.

My typical length of a lesson will be 40-60 minutes (once discussed with what the student finds doable)
