About Carlos

Hi! I’m Carlos, an international student from Spain currently applying to medical school in the United States. Throughout college, I’ve developed a passion for both learning and teaching, serving as a teaching assistant for Biology, Chemistry, and Calculus while helping students build confidence in challenging subjects. I also scored in the 90th percentile on the MCAT, giving me firsthand experience with effective study strategies and test preparation.

Outside of academics, I’m a huge Formula 1 fan and love keeping up with the sport. I believe learning should be engaging, supportive, and even fun. Whether you’re trying to improve your grades, prepare for an important exam, or strengthen your understanding of a subject, I’m excited to help you reach your goals!

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is to help students truly understand concepts rather than memorize them. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs by using clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided practice to build understanding

A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics the student finds most challenging. We review the underlying concepts, work through practice problems together, and then have the student solve similar problems independently. I focus on developing problem-solving skills that students can apply on their own.

What sets me apart is my experience as a teaching assistant for Chemistry, Biochemistry, Calculus, and Biology, where I learned how to explain complex topics in simple, approachable ways. I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping students reach their academic goals.

My lessons are designed for high school and undergraduate students, particularly those taking Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Calculus, and other STEM or pre-health courses.
